We will utilize a plastic splint or orthodontic bracket in order to keep the tooth stable until it heals completely. The tooth will require a minimum of 7 to 10 days to heal and set within the socket.
What Is a Dislodged Tooth?

A dislodged tooth, also known as an extruded or luxate tooth, is one that has been partially or completely pushed into or out of its socket. Generally a dislodged tooth is caused by trauma to the mouth which results in the tooth being dislodged in some manner. In order to avoid a costly and painful root canal treatment, visit our dentist as soon as possible.
My Tooth Was Knocked Out. How Can I Save It?

First, do not handle the tooth by the root. Pick up the tooth by the crown, or chewing surface. If the tooth is dirty, gently rinse with water. Do not use chemicals on the tooth, scrub the tooth, dry the tooth, or wrap the tooth in cloth or tissue. If possible, reposition the tooth in the socket immediately. The sooner the tooth is replaced, the more likely it will survive. Gently bite down on the tooth in order to hold it in place. If you cannot replace the tooth in the socket, do one of the following: place it in milk, place it in your mouth next to your cheek, or place it in an emergency tooth preservation kit. Do not use regular tap water for long-term storage.
